Three weeks ago, the horse performed respectably in a Happy Valley 1200m run, holding up well and limiting the deficit to just two lengths, indicating a high standard. Now stepping up in class for a Sha Tin 1200m race on the turf, this is his first attempt at this distance, which should suit him. His time in the group was acceptable and the draw is not poor. If he settles into a stalking position, his closing speed against the field looks strong. With the jockey and trainer seemingly in sync, however, he will need to carry an extra 17 pounds this time and the circumstances don't look perfectly aligned; he's a potential dark horse.
