NO OTHER CHOICE

2/6 (Dirt trial 1200m: 1-1-2) took the lead but was overtaken at the finish. Six weeks ago in the same race, this horse performed very well, tracking near the front from a good position but its run weakened in the final stages to finish second. Fortunately, it was not far behind, beaten only three and a half lengths. After a recent trial, there has been slight improvement. Despite needing to carry an extra three pounds in this race, having lost all five previous starts, and facing a time gap within the field, it can still be considered as a useful contender.
