16/06 (Dirt Trial 1200m: Settled third throughout while running wide) Five weeks ago, this horse ran a disappointing race over 1800m on Sha Tin turf, tracking towards the rear and showing weakening late pace, resulting in a heavy defeat. After a trial run in the barrier trial, there was slight improvement. Switching to dirt over a mile for this first attempt at the distance, the course does not suit him well, putting him at a disadvantage with an unfavorable draw and slightly diminished finishing kick. The jockey and trainer do not seem to have a particular synergy, though his time trial performance was acceptable and his morning work showed promise, suggesting there may be potential.
