On June 25th, the horse ran a dirt trial over 1200m (pacey in the middle sections, weak finish). Four weeks ago, in a race run with this horse, its performance was poor; it settled well up front but lost pace in the final stages and finished badly. Having sampled a trial run, it still lacks experience. The time figure is weaker than desired, and the tactical position is somewhat disadvantageous; its finishing kick has not been outstanding, nor has the jockey-trainer combination shown much synergy. However, with an ideal barrier draw and a three-pound weight allowance this time, it is worth considering as a dark horse.
