Eight weeks ago, he performed impressively over a Happy Valley mile, albeit slow to jump out and saving ground by trailing. His pace along the way was steady, and he made up significant ground in the final stages to secure second place, beaten only half a length, demonstrating high class. A recent trial showed no improvement. He tested on Happy Valley over 1200m again, this time carrying a pound less. He has shown capability in races over this trip; the jockey has a good understanding of the horse's temperament, and the partnership between trainer and rider remains smooth. Although his time performance isn't outstanding, the circumstances aren't perfectly favorable, and his finishing kick hasn't been pronounced, he should be considered for a supporting role in this race.
