On 19/09, the horse ran a Happy Valley turf trial over 1200m (8-8-7), moving wide on the bend to chase, and on 11/09, a dirt trial over 1200m (1-2-3) where he tracked closely, briefly taking the lead early before settling comfortably into a position. In his run on 26/08 over 1200m (4-5-8) in a dirt trial, he faded on the straight due to a lack of focus. Returning after a long layoff for his first race this season, he ran poorly in the Happy Valley turf 1200m last month, settling well and tracking the leaders with an average pace throughout, displaying a lackluster run. He has since tried three more barrier trials and shown slight improvement. Shifting to Sha Tin over 1200m, this is his first run at this distance, but the trip does not suit him, and his time performance has not been outstanding. His position is slightly disadvantaged, and he lacked a strong finishing kick. The cooperation between jockey and trainer has not been remarkable, although his recent form is not poor, and he carries two pounds less in this race; however, no clear opportunity has presented itself.
