SPECIAL DAYS was slow into stride. DREAM TEAM began awkwardly, then in the early stages hung in. In the early stages, ONE WORLD and EXPRESS WIN were taken back. After the 1200 Metres, MASTER POWER, which was over-racing, was steadied away from the heels of REGENCY DRAGON as that horse crossed to the lead. Commencing to make the turn at the 800 Metres, FULL OF JOY was crowded for room inside GALLANT LION which got its head on the side and shifted in. After the 800 Metres, FULL OF JOY was checked to avoid the heels of MASTER POWER which was steadied away from the heels of REGENCY DRAGON as the tempo of the race steadied. Also after the 800 Metres, RIVER JORDAN, which was travelling wide and without cover, was carried wider by DREAM TEAM which shifted out. Over the final 200 Metres, JOY AND FUN hung in. Near the 100 Metres, Apprentice K C Leung (REGENCY DRAGON) dropped his right rein. DREAM TEAM, JOY AND FUN and ONE WORLD were sent for sampling.
