ENDURING was withdrawn on 19.10.12 by order of the Stewards acting on veterinary advice (head injury) and was replaced by Standby Declared Starter SUPREME GENKI (G Mossé). Before being allowed to race again, ENDURING will be subjected to an official veterinary examination. CHARMGOLD, which was leaning on the outside of its stall, began awkwardly. From a wide barrier, NORDIC STAR was taken across behind runners shortly after the start. SUPER BRAND was also taken across behind runners shortly after the start. Shortly after the start, SUPREME GENKI became unbalanced after shifting out and making contact with the hindquarters of CHARMGOLD. Despite being vigorously ridden along in the early stages to obtain a forward position, JUN HUA failed to muster speed and approaching the winning post on the first occasion was taken across behind runners. Passing the 1600 Metres, WHITE HART KING shifted in and bumped SUNNY MORE. After the 600 Metres, SUNNY MORE was awkwardly placed close to the heels of BILLION which was commencing to give ground. Then near the 500 Metres, SUNNY MORE became unbalanced after making contact with BILLION when being steadied away from the heels of NOBLE DE BEST which shifted out. Approaching and passing the 200 Metres, SUPREME GENKI raced in restricted room between BLOSSOM DAILY and BESPOKE MASTER which shifted out. Over the final 200 Metres, SUNNY MORE got its head on the side, hung in and proved difficult to ride. Over the final 150 Metres, HO WONGCHOY shifted out under pressure. After the 100 Metres, NOBLE DE BEST shifted out away from HO WONGCHOY. For the majority of the race, BLOSSOM DAILY and BILLION both travelled wide and without cover. A veterinary inspection of WHITE HART KING after the race did not show any significant findings. SUPREME GENKI, HO WONGCHOY and NOBLE DE BEST were sent for sampling.
