Two weeks ago, the horse ran well over 1200m on dirt, jumping moderately and settling towards the back. It finished strongly for third place. A subsequent trial over 1400m on turf sees it carrying only a one-pound increase in weight this time. The plan is to settle back in this race, however, its finishing kick may not be as strong as its rivals. The trainer and jockey don’t seem to gel well, although the horse's times within the group are acceptable. The jockey has some understanding of the horse's ability and will need to persevere.
