On March 24th, a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua saw the horse respond poorly despite urging with the whip. Seven weeks ago, this horse ran a moderate race over Happy Valley’s 1200m, settling well and making a mid-race move but failing to finish strongly. A subsequent barrier trial showed no improvement. Now trialing on Sha Tin’s 1400m turf with an 11lb weight reduction, the horse has yet to win from six attempts at this distance, faces tough competition within its group, and doesn't appear to be in advantageous form; although capable of settling well, it appears tense and unlikely to succeed.
