Four weeks ago, the horse delivered a strong performance over 1800m on dirt, jumping moderately and settling towards the rear before finishing with fast closing sections to secure second place, beaten by two and a half lengths – a commendable effort. A subsequent trial over a mile on dirt saw the horse receive a four-pound weight reduction but draw an outside barrier. The plan is to settle back in this race, although its finishing kick may not be as strong as rivals; however, comparable times within the group suggest it's competitive. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities and the trainer/jockey combination appears amicable, suggesting a need for patience.
