COLOURFUL BARON

On April 8th, during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 2-2-3), the horse finished a respectable third while conserving energy. Four weeks ago, in a race over 1800m on dirt, it performed poorly, breaking slowly and settling towards the back before fading significantly. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Another dirt mile trial run with a 5lb weight reduction; facing moderate competition within its group, the horse doesn't have an advantageous draw, but its ability to secure a good position behind the leaders shouldn’t be underestimated.
