Four weeks ago, over the same distance, the performance was poor; it led but lacked a strong finish. This time carrying one pound less weight, having previously won three times at this distance, it has the potential to track the leaders and maintain a good pace. Drawing a favorable barrier, the horse is in a decent position. The jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, and pre-race preparation seems adequate. Despite showing a poor finishing kick in recent trials and a lack of synergy between trainer and jockey, a clean break should allow it to settle comfortably and contend for a forward position.
