MOUNT EVEREST

On April 29th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in running positions of 7-10-2, showing an acceleration move during the final section. Five weeks ago, in a race over the same distance, it performed respectably despite a slow start, settling towards the rear before finishing strongly to secure third place, beaten by only half a length. A recent barrier trial indicated slight improvement. This time, no additional weight will be carried and with proven form at this distance, competing against similarly timed horses, a hold-up tactic is anticipated, relying on a strong finishing kick. The horse holds a competitive edge compared to other runners, the jockey has some familiarity with its capabilities, and there appears to be good communication between trainer and jockey. Its current condition is showing significant improvement and it's expected to perform well.
