NEVER PETER OUT

On April 25th, a turf trial over 1200m in Conghua saw the horse show good speed to take victory. Fitness levels remain strong. Six weeks ago, over the same distance, it displayed impressive form, jumping slowly but finishing well with a fast final two sections, securing second place by half a length. A subsequent barrier trial showed slight improvement. This time needing to carry 8 pounds more weight, having won four of seven races at this distance and with good section times in the group, it should be able to settle comfortably tracking the leaders – an advantageous position. This horse holds a definite advantage in this race; the jockey has some understanding of its capabilities, trainer and jockey are aligned, and preparation is thorough, suggesting it can bounce back from a previous loss.
