He then trialled over 1200m on the dirt. This time he will carry an additional three pounds, drawing a favorable barrier which should allow him to track the pace. The situation is reasonable; Matthew Poon takes the ride and has some familiarity with the horse’s ability. Despite a difference in timing with other horses from the same stable, trainer-jockey communication isn't ideal. A clean break is key; if he jumps well and settles into a forward position, finishing among the leaders should be achievable.
