Seven weeks prior, it ran over a Happy Valley sprint distance and performed adequately despite a slow start, settling towards the back but finishing with a strong late run, beaten two and a half lengths. A subsequent barrier trial showed moderate form. Another trial on the straight course this time benefits from a 2lb weight reduction. The timing is comparable to horses in its group; it’s expected to settle back in the field relying on a strong finishing kick, with an advantageous racing profile.
