On 2/5, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m with sectionals of 8-7-6, getting away to an average start and settling in behind. On 11/4, during a turf trial at Conghua over 1000m, he jumped slowly but finished well after finding clear running at the 300m mark. Another turf trial at Conghua on 28/3 over 800m saw him break awkwardly and travel along the rail, showing decent progress. This is his debut run as a new horse; he began training in Hong Kong in early January. He’s had three trials this season with reasonably solid performances. His gait is low to the ground, favouring shorter distances and turns, though lacking significant acceleration. Drawing a good barrier for this first-up start is a plus, and a slow break won't necessarily be detrimental.
