GROOVY FEELING

On May 8th, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 7-7-7, appearing to be used as a warm-up exercise. Four weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with a steady pace but lacking a finishing burst. A subsequent barrier trial showed little improvement. Another turf trial over 1200m has been completed; this time carrying a four-pound weight reduction and drawing an outside barrier, requiring a hold-up tactic. However, the finishing kick wasn't strong enough compared to its rivals, leaving the horse in a less favorable position. Despite similar section times to horses in the same group, it’s not considered a leading contender for this race.
