Four weeks ago, this horse ran poorly in a dirt 1200m race, settling in a good position tracking the leaders with a steady pace but lacking a strong finish. He finished sixth, beaten three and a half lengths. Another trial over Sha Tin turf 1200m sees him carry 13 pounds less this time; however, he has four losses in this distance category. Drawing an outside barrier and showing a weak finishing kick doesn't favor his chances. Despite similar sectionals to the rest of the field and being able to maintain a good position tracking the leaders, trainer and jockey appear to be working well together. He’s been doing some gatework recently with noticeable improvement in morning track work, but isn’t considered a strong contender for this race.
