He finished second after making a late run by Karis Teetan, beaten only half a length. Following that, he trialed over 1200m at Happy Valley again. This time he carries just a two-pound weight increase, having performed well over this distance previously, and his times are comparable to those of competitors in the same class. The tactics will be to settle towards the rear and rely on a strong finishing kick – he possesses the strongest finish in the field. He’s been thoroughly prepared for this race; however, the unfavourable barrier draw is a concern. Still, they may have some tricks up their sleeve.
