On September 11th (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-6), the horse travelled in midfield positions throughout, following a relaxed pace. On September 5th (dirt trial 1050m: 6-6-6) he tracked from behind with minimal effort. A turf trial over 1000m at Conghua on June 27th saw him accelerate gradually through the sections. Most recently, on March 14th (Happy Valley turf trial 1200m: 6-7-4), he finished well down the straight with a decent finishing run. After a long break, this will be his first start of the season. He has completed four barrier trials but hasn't shown sufficient progress. Another turf trial over 1200m at Sha Tin was undertaken, and now races off a three-pound weight reduction, drawing an outside barrier. A backmarker strategy is anticipated, however, finishing speed may be insufficient against rivals, the trainer-jockey combination isn’t ideal; fortunately, the overall group time wasn't poor. The ride has been transferred to Keagan De Melo, who has some understanding of the horse's capabilities and could potentially cause an upset.
