Three weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over a Happy Valley 1200m, taking the lead easily with a steady pace but lacking a finishing surge. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. Another trial was conducted on Sha Tin turf over 1200m; there's no weight penalty this time, and the sectional times were reasonable. Drawing a good barrier gives him an opportunity to lead. The jockey has some familiarity with the horse’s capabilities, and trainer-jockey communication is good. Despite four losses in previous attempts at this distance, the situation isn’t entirely unfavorable; a clean break should allow him to push for the front.
