Three weeks ago (16/9), this horse recorded a turf trial over 1000m in sections of 7-6-7, showing moderate effort with an even pace. On August 27th (27/8) during a dirt trial over 1200m, he started at a steady tempo and maintained a consistent speed down the straight, finishing in sections of 3-3-6. Another turf trial on August 27th (27/6) at Conghua over 1000m saw him accelerate with some urging after 200m, but his response was average; finishing in segments of 4-3-6. A further dirt trial on May 26th(26/5) at Conghua over 800m displayed a relaxed pace and limited improvement. After a long break, this is the horse’s first run of the season. He's had four barrier trials without showing significant acceleration. Another turf trial over 1200m at Sha Tin was completed, benefiting from a five-pound weight reduction this time with good section times in his group and potential to track the pace-setters. The inside draw is advantageous, and there appears to be strong trust between trainer and jockey. A clean jump is crucial; if he breaks well, he should be able to secure a forward position comfortably.
