Three weeks ago, over a Sha Tin 1400m, the performance was acceptable, tracking the leaders and making a mid-race move but failing to sustain the effort to the finish, finishing third. He was beaten only half a length, showing good ability. In a subsequent trial over 1200m at Sha tin, he carries just a one-pound penalty this time. Regardless of the pace set by other horses in the race, he looks capable of tracking the leaders and challenging for the lead. Compared to his rivals, his overall strength is superior to all others; however, he drew an outside barrier which may hinder his finishing kick and limit him to contending for a place.
