A month ago, in a race over the same distance, the performance was very disappointing; it led easily but lacked acceleration throughout. This time, with a two-pound weight reduction and facing unfavorable timing within its group, it drew an outside barrier. The plan is to settle back in the field, however, the finishing kick isn't strong enough to compete against rivals, making its chances unlikely this race.
