On September 18th, a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua saw a solid performance. Three weeks ago in a similar race, the horse ran well despite a slow jump, settling towards the rear and launching a strong two-section burst mid-race. He finished second after a good chase, beaten by half a length – a respectable result demonstrating high potential. A recent barrier trial was deemed satisfactory. This time, he'll carry four extra pounds. Having previously secured two wins over this distance and with competitive times in the group, trainer and jockey appear to be a good fit.
