RAGING RAPIDS

Two weeks ago, over the same distance, the horse performed well. A slow jump saw it settle towards the rear, making a strong effort in the middle stages with a good two-section burst of speed to finish third, beaten by half a length. He’s only carrying three pounds more this time and has proven form at this distance; his section times are competitive within the group. The plan is again to settle back and rely on a finishing kick which should be strong compared to others in the field. His overall form looks good, giving him a clear advantage over some rivals. Andrea Atzeni takes the ride, having some familiarity with the horse, and trainer/jockey have good communication; potential for a return to peak performance.
