VICTORY CHAMPION

On September 23rd, the horse completed a dirt trial over 1200m in sections of 3-3-3, continuing to show improvement. Three weeks ago, it ran a respectable race over a Sha Tin mile, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before finishing strongly for second place, beaten by half a length. A recent barrier trial indicated slight progress. Making its debut over a Sha Tin 1400m this time with a one-pound weight increase, the distance appears suitable and drawing an inside barrier is advantageous. Compared to other contenders, it possesses a higher level of ability; the jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, and trainer/jockey communication is good. Workouts have been positive, suggesting it can perform to its full potential.
