On September 16th, a turf trial over 1000m saw the horse tracking moderately with moderate urging. On August 29th, a dirt trial over 1200m showed the horse being urged along in the straight but lacking early pace. This is his seasonal debut and after two trials, he hasn’t demonstrated sufficient progress. He will now make his first start on Sha Tin turf over 1400m, this time with a 2lb weight reduction. The distance should suit him, requiring a hold-up tactic to utilize a strong finishing kick – considered the best in the group. His overall form is promising and Vincent Ho takes the ride; the jockey’s ability to control pace could be decisive.
