On 9/10 (dirt trial 1200m: 5-4-3), the horse jumped out quickly and travelled on the outside, showing a good attitude. On 30/9 (dirt trial 1200m: 8-8-7) it was slow to jump but made up ground along the straight after moving outwards when urged. On 16/9 (dirt trial 1200m: 6-7-8), it jumped out fast but quickly dropped back and followed the pace comfortably. Returning from a spell, this is its first run of the season. It has completed three barrier trials with moderate improvement. Moving up in class this time carrying a 16lb weight reduction, the horse has previous form over this distance. The times recorded by horses in the same group are reasonable and it should be able to keep pace with the leaders. A forward running tactic is anticipated, and trainer/jockey appear confident. Despite drawing an outside barrier, a clean break and positive ride to secure a good position will improve its chances.
