On 9/10, the horse showed no response when urged during a dirt trial over 1200m (sections: 5-4-7). Five weeks ago, it ran well in a Happy Valley sprint, settling comfortably tracking the leaders with a strong forward run to finish third, beaten by half a length. A subsequent barrier trial revealed a lack of improvement. Another turf trial at Happy Valley over 1200m was completed, and this time carries no additional weight. However, it has failed to win in three previous attempts at this distance. Considering the section times against its competition, finishing kick is weak, resulting in an unfavorable overall situation. Despite a good potential for settling forward and securing a favorable barrier draw, trainer-jockey confidence isn’t enough to suggest strong prospects for success.
