THE ALL OUT

On October 21st, (dirt trial 1200m: 5-5-4) navigated four bends well and responded willingly when asked to extend in the straight. Four weeks ago, this horse ran disappointingly in a straight race, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear with an even pace but lacking a finishing burst. A recent barrier trial performance was satisfactory. Making its debut over a Happy Valley 1200m this time, it will carry two pounds more than its last start weight. The distance should suit, requiring a hold-up tactic to utilize its finishing kick. Despite drawing a poor barrier, the horse may represent value as an outsider.
