On December 22nd, recorded a fast third in a dirt trial over 1200m, appearing relaxed. Four weeks ago, this horse ran respectably over Sha Tin’s 1400m turf, jumping slowly and settling towards the rear before making a mid-race move with a good effort to close. He finished fifth, beaten two and a half lengths. A recent barrier trial showed slight improvement. Switching to Sha Tin over 1600m this time for his first attempt at this distance, he will carry an additional two pounds. The trip is expected to suit him and he has the potential to lead early. He draws well and trainer/jockey are working together effectively; a clean break should see him challenge for a forward position.
