On 10/1 (Happy Valley turf trial, 1200m: 7-7-1), the horse conserved energy early on and finished with a strong acceleration to win. On 29/12 (dirt trial, 1200m: 3-3-4), he was urged forward at the bend and pushed hard to the finish line. On 16/12 (turf trial, 1000m: 8-9-4), he made a narrow move at the 200m mark. On 2/12 (dirt trial, 1050m: 5-4-3) he received a tap with the whip on turning and was briefly blocked at the 300m point before finishing third. On 18/11 (turf trial, 800m: 3-2-5), he showed a slight effort in the final section with good stride. This is his debut as a new winner; he began training after arriving in Hong Kong in late September last year. He has trialled five times this season with encouraging results, exhibiting a slightly high action but showing willingness to chase. He has performed well over distances from 1400m to one mile and despite making his debut at 1200m this time, is worth considering.
