On 16/1, a turf trial over 1600m at Conghua showed a slightly sluggish response and requires further maturity. On 30/12, another turf trial over 1200m at Conghua saw the horse make up ground with urging, performing reasonably well. December 16th’s dirt trial over 1200m lacked pace after being urged around the turn. A turf trial over 1000m on 1/12 at Conghua showed a lack of early speed but recovered some ground under pressure. On November 18th, a turf trial over 1000m saw a slow start with urging required over the final 400m and a perceived lack of focus. This is the horse’s debut as a new arrival; it began training in Hong Kong in early October last year. Five trials have been conducted this season without standout performances, exhibiting steady pace but a narrow stride length. Better suited to a mile distance and lacking visible acceleration, this race marks its first start intended for evaluation purposes.
