RUSSET GLOW

On March 13th, a dirt trial over 1200m saw the horse finish with sections of 8-8-6, responding moderately after being urged from the 200m mark. December 29th’s 1200m dirt trial resulted in sections of 3-4-6; a steady early pace but only an average performance in the straight. A turf trial over 1200m at Conghua on December 15th showed a slightly awkward start, finishing with a strong late surge (sections 5-5-1). On December 1st’s 1000m turf trial at Conghua, he ran within the field and responded adequately to prompting (sections 5-6-5). An 800m turf trial at Conghua on November 17th saw him travel mid-pack in a smooth run (sections 3-5-5). This is his debutante race. He began pre-training in Hong Kong in early August last year. Five barrier trials have been undertaken this season with some improvement shown. Shows a low stride and quick footwork, willing to chase, suited over 1200m to one mile. Demonstrates good fighting spirit; worth noting for his debut run.
