YOUNG CHAMPION

Two weeks ago, over Sha Tin 1400m, the performance was very poor, settling in a good position tracking the leaders and maintaining a fast pace through the first two sections, but visibly tiring towards the finish. Another turf trial over 1200m showed limited improvement; this race requires carrying an additional two pounds, presenting an unfavorable situation despite comparable section times with other horses in the group, and no clear chance of success is apparent.
