Three weeks ago, this horse ran very disappointingly in a straight course race, slow out of the gate and settling towards the rear with an even pace but lacking a finishing burst. He returned well-beaten. Having dropped 23 pounds in body weight, he’s stepping down in class to contest a Sha Tin 1200m turf race this time, needing to carry ten additional pounds. The barrier draw isn't ideal and while the horse has some form over this distance, the competition is relatively close. He's been doing well in gate work leading up to the race, showing improvement with each run, and connections are hoping for a place.
