Another turf trial over 1200m saw him perform below expectations with no weight reduction and drawing an outside barrier. The finishing kick was lacking, and the trainer-jockey combination wasn't ideal. Despite having two previous wins at this distance and comparable times to its group, it managed a good position tracking the leaders. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride this time, possessing a strong understanding of the horse’s temperament, but is not considered a leading contender for this race.
