Two weeks ago, this horse ran a decent race over Happy Valley 1200m. He jumped slowly and settled towards the rear, maintaining a steady pace but showing a late surge. Now trying Sha Tin turf over 1200m for the first time with a two-pound weight reduction, the distance is not ideal and he’s drawn an outside barrier. A hold-up tactic will likely be employed this race, however, his finishing kick may not be strong enough to compete against rivals, making his chances questionable at this stage – it's best to observe his performance in one more race before reassessing.
