On February 6th, the horse impressed in a dirt trial over 1200m at Conghua (sections: 1-1-1), taking the lead with restraint and holding off challenges for a narrow victory. On January 26th, another dirt trial over 1000m at Conghua (sections: 1-1-1) saw the horse lead from mid-pack and respond well to prompting. Six weeks ago in its last run on the straight course, the performance was poor; a slow start resulted in settling towards the rear with an even pace but no finishing kick, ultimately finishing fourth. Two barrier trials have shown slight improvement. Dropping back in class this time, it will face Sha Tin turf over 1200m, carrying an additional two pounds. Despite five wins from twelve attempts at this distance and competitive section times, the horse has the potential to track with the leaders but drew a wide barrier, indicating a weak finishing kick and unfavorable positioning. Best suited as a pairing.
