On February 2nd, the horse completed a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (sections: 6-5-5), settling comfortably and without being fully tested. Four weeks ago, in a Sha Tin 1400m race, the performance was reasonable despite a slow start, settling towards the rear with a steady pace before making ground late. He finished beaten three lengths. A recent barrier trial showed he is not keeping up with the required progress. This time switching to a Sha Tin 1600m race for the first time, carrying one pound more, the step-up in distance should suit him. Drawing an inside barrier and with continued confidence from trainer and jockey, this horse has potential to perform well immediately.
