Two weeks ago, this horse delivered a strong performance over Sha Tin’s 1400m, jumping slowly and settling towards the back before making late progress with fast sections. He finished fourth, beaten by one and a half lengths and showing good ability. Now stepping up to Sha Tin’s 1600m this time carrying an additional six pounds, the distance is expected to suit. A hold-up tactic will be employed, relying on a strong finishing kick which is considered the best in the field. The horse appears well positioned based on his capabilities and is arguably the most impressive contender in this race. Lyle Hewitson takes the ride; the jockey understands how to work with the horse, and the trainer and jockey have a good rapport. He looks like a promising type.
