On February 2nd, the horse completed a turf trial at Conghua over 1200m (1-1-4), leading at a slow pace and maintaining momentum under pressure. Four weeks ago in a similar distance trial, performance was poor; it settled comfortably tracking the leaders, made a mid-race move but faded badly. A recent barrier trial didn’t show significant improvement. Body weight has been reduced by 21 pounds, with a three-pound deduction for this race, and the section times are unremarkable. This time around, a hold-up strategy is planned; however, its finishing kick isn't as strong as rivals, resulting in an unfavorable situation. Trainer and horse don’t seem to be a good match, although the jockey has some understanding of the horse’s capabilities, giving it a chance to perform quickly.
