DANICA'S CHOICE

On 5/2 (dirt trial 1200m: 4-4-5), the horse maintained a consistent pace down the straight. Four weeks ago, over Sha Tin turf 1200m, it showed decent form, jumping slowly but finishing strongly with a good late run. A recent barrier trial did not fully showcase its potential. Now stepping up to Sha Tin 1600m for the first time, carrying a four-pound weight reduction, a hold-up tactic is expected. Although the finishing kick was not as strong as rivals in its last outing, connections believe the distance will suit and trainer/jockey are confident.
