Three weeks ago, over Sha Tin’s 1400m, the horse performed poorly, slow to jump and settling towards the rear. He maintained an even pace throughout a lackluster run, finishing well-beaten. Switching to Happy Valley’s mile for its first attempt at this distance, it was found to be unsuitable, putting the horse at a disadvantage, needing to settle back in the field with insufficient finishing kick. The trainer and jockey combination isn't particularly strong but benefits from a four-pound weight reduction and acceptable sectionals this time around, making it worth considering.
