30/3 (Turf Trial 800m: 2-2-2) showed excellent early speed to track the leader in second position throughout. 23/9 (Dirt Trial 1200m: 5-4-7) was held up in the straight and eased down. Returning from a long layoff, he raced early this season; in his last run over Sha Tin turf 1400m in September, he performed well, settling prominently and finishing only three lengths behind the winner. Following two recent trials, there is visible improvement. Switching to a 1200m dirt trip for the first time, his time figures remain competitive. Drawn in an ideal gate and possessing the strongest finishing kick in this field, the horse is well-prepared. Despite carrying 2 lbs more and a challenging race situation, he remains a solid place contender.
