July 5th (Conghua dirt trial at 1200m: finished in positions 4-3-1), made a move around the final 300m to win with an easy demeanor. Six weeks ago, in a straight race, he showed decent form; although slow out of the gate and tracking from behind with a steady pace, he gradually closed in at the finish to run second. A recent trial showed slight improvement. In this race, after his last run, he trialed on Sha Tin dirt over 1200m and the time was competitive; he can race close to the leaders, and his overall rating places him among the top contenders in this field. He has made good efforts in training, and despite needing to carry an extra 14 pounds this time, his record is five losses in this series, and his ranking has not been ideal; he should be used as a secondary runner in this race.
