Five weeks ago, this horse ran poorly over 1400m on Sha Tin turf, running in the rear with an even pace throughout and a mediocre run. In his subsequent 1200m Sha Tin turf outing, he failed to finish in any of the seven races, putting him at a distinct disadvantage with poor positioning and lacking a standout finishing kick. The jockey-trainer combination was not ideal, but his time performance was acceptable, and with a six-pound weight allowance in this race, he is not out of contention.
